How this site makes money
Short version: some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
The required bit
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
What Fits Where is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We also participate in other affiliate programs and earn commissions on qualifying purchases made through those links.
What that does and doesn't change
It doesn't change the price you pay. It doesn't change which products we recommend — the measurements are the measurements, and a product either fits your cabinet or it doesn't.
What it does mean is that we have a financial interest in you clicking a link, and you should know that when you read a recommendation anywhere, including here.
How we choose products
We only link products whose stated dimensions we've checked against the live listing. If we haven't verified something, we say what to look for instead of naming a product — you'll see that on posts where a slot isn't filled yet.
We don't display prices, because prices change constantly and a stale price is worse than no price. Check the current price on the retailer's own page.
We also write about products that don't work. Those posts earn nothing. They're there because the point of this site is helping you avoid a return, not maximising clicks.
Where the numbers come from
Published standards are cited on the post they appear in. Where a figure is derived rather than sourced, we show the working. Where a sample is small, we say how small. If we get something wrong and you can show us, we'll correct it.
